1.   In th' eternal plan of God,
     God the Father did allot
     His dear Son, th'inclusive Christ,
     Whom the good land typifies,
     To believers so that He
     Their eternal portion be;
     Into Christ He transferred them,
     That they might partake of Him.

2.   We enjoy Christ diff'rently,
     Each according to degree;
     Our pursuit of Christ will tell,
     And our faithfulness as well.
     This the highest we'd attain:
     That in life divine we'd reign--
     On the throne with Christ our place--
     Through His rich, abounding grace.

3.   Lo! the saints' captivity
     By the subtle enemy,
     Topmost failure they could know:
     Christ's enjoyment to forego
     By not knowing ev'ry hour
     Christ as resurrection pow’r,
     And the bountiful supply
     Of the Spir't of Jesus Christ.

4.   Omnipresent Trinity,
     The Omnipotent is He;
     Caring for His chosen ones,
     He the hiding God becomes,
     Taking care of all of these
     Scattered in captivity,
     In the wisest secrecy
     Of His highest sov'reignty.
